Since there is an interest in such things, permit me to offer some
assistance.
I have in my possession, Flying Horse Callbooks from 1937, 1953, 1963 and
1982.
If you have a 1x3 callsign that starts with a "W," chances are very good
that it appears in each of these callbooks with the name and address of you,
or it's previous holder. (There were many fewer "K" calls in the 1st three
books, and no "N's" until later.)
So, if you're curious to learn who may have held your callsign before you,
drop me an e-mail and I'll be happy to look it up and tell you what I
found. If there is something there and you send me a S.A.S.E., I'll photocopy the
entire page it's on and mail it back to you.
(My attempts at scanning have hardly produced favorable results, so please
don't ask me to try that again, hihi.)
