A week from now the 53rd (yr) QCWA QSO Party will be History.
I hope you all take the time to make a few contacts and send
in a log to our teller Bob Buus at w2od at aol.com
All the information, log-forms. summary sheets and rules are
at www.qcwa.org/qso-party.htm
At the request of some of our members who no longer have access
to HF radio facilities we have opened up the contest to users of
QsoNet. This is an internet simulation of HF radio activity
which lets radio amateurs all over the world contact other users
using cw, phone and digital modes. If any of your friends are
using this mode encourage them to look for their QCWA friends
during the QSO Party. All the rules of the QSO Parties apply
except a seperate log must be submitted for the QsoNet contacts.
Read the latest QCWA Party rules for the additions pertaining to
operating in the Party using the CQ100 transceivers.
If you are interested in this system look up QsoNet on Google.
There is no cost for the first 3 months, so you could try it out
and enter the QSO party at the same time. I have been a
a subscriber since January. It has certainly added to my 60 some
years of communicating with the world.
Cheers
