As a short exercise, I'd like to put forth the following question.
"What is the QCWA?"
And, to be breife I'll sum up my viewpoints on this.
The QCWA is a collection of amateur radio operators that have been
licensed for at least 25 years.
Hopefully, it also means that it is a collection of amateur radio operators
that are willing to share their experience with others to help them enjoy
and advance themselves.
More importantly, I'd like to add, "What isn't the QCWA?"
The QCWA is not:
A group advocating code.
A group advocating no-code
A group of people bitching that things have changed.
A group of people bitching that things haven't changed.
A group that hates new people because they didn't have to walk 5
miles in snow to the FCC office, uphill BOTH directions.
A group that hates old timers because the DID have to walk 5
miles in snow to the FCC office, uphill both directions.
A group of individuals that think that the only thing of merit was
to have participated in traffic handling during WWII.
A group of individuals that think that nothing that happened
prior to 1984 bears mentioning.
A group that is so worried about money that they'll let anyone
join so they con collect dues every month. While doing everything
in their power to chase off anyone under 50 years of age.
Well, I think you get the point.
