You old timers will surely remember the CCC.  I remember them as mainly doing road work and building construction.....we did not have a camp with radio equipment in our area.

I also remember that when I worked at WAR that NSS was next door to us in the Navy Department building.  Some of their most proficient radio operators were graduated from the Coast Guard school in Connecticut.
