[QCWA] IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE QCWA 2008 CONVENTION TOUR PACKAGES]

Good evening ladies and gentlemen.  The date for signing up for tours
passed with two tours not achieving the required number of participants.
This bulletin is to let you know of the tours that were successfully
subscribed and to make a last-chance offer on the two that missed the cut.

First -- the BOD SPOUSES TOUR ON THURSDAY WILL BE CONDUCTED AS
DESCRIBED.  If you registered for the THURSDAY tour you are good to go!
 
Second -- the NORFOLK TOUR ON FRIDAY WILL BE CONDUCTED AS DESCRIBED.  If
you registered for the FRIDAY tour you are good to go.
 
Third -- NEITHER the SATURDAY MARINER'S MUSEUM/VIRGINIA AIR AND SPACE
MUSEUM TOUR NOR THE SUNDAY COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG/JAMESTOWN SETTLEMENT
TOUR will go as originally described.  IF YOU REGISTERED FOR EITHER OF
THESE TOURS YOU WILL BE CONTACTED BY TELEPHONE SOMETIME IN THE NEXT TWO
TO THREE DAYS with an offer of a slightly modified tour similar to what
you signed up for.  The details of the modified tours have already been
installed on the web site:  http://www.qcwa-ch119.org and you are
encouraged to navigate to that web site and read the tour descriptions.
 BE SURE YOU REFRESH YOUR BROWSER SO THAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE
UPDATED INFORMATION AND NOT OUTDATED CACHED INFORMATION STORED IN YOUR
OWN COMPUTER.
 
The reformatted tours were minimally changed -- an included lunch was
dropped, one expensive admission fee dropped with a change in venue and
the most significant change -- by chartering smaller buses for these
tours we were able to drop the required reservations to TWENTY each tour
and to slightly reduce the cost of the tours.  We had just about that
number signed up for the original tour but could not go with so few
reservations.  There WERE some canceled reservations also.  Of course we
will refund the tour fees if the tours must be canceled outright and
will refund the difference in charges if the new tours do go.

AND SO -- The Convention Planning Group is asking you to take one more
look at the tour packages.  If you can see your way clear at this point
to sign up for a tour on Saturday or Sunday (or both) please send an
e-mail to me or give me a phone call before we have to make the FINAL
final decision late on Monday, September 15.  Here's hoping we can field
these great tours so as not to disappoint anyone.
 
I WILL BE CALLING ALL THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY SIGNED UP FOR THE SATURDAY
AND SUNDAY TOURS.  Thank you for your understanding as we go the extra
