[QCWA] QCWA Chapter 119 November Meeting

The November meeting of QCWA Chapter 119 will take place at 12:00 Noon 
on Friday, November 21, 2008 at our regular meeting place:  Frankie's 
Place For Ribs, 5200 Fairfield Shopping Center, near the intersection of 
Kempsville and Providence Roads, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.

Early holiday travelers are especially welcome to visit as are any 
friends of QCWA from any quarter.  There is a brief business agenda with 
announcement of the 2009 Officer Candidate Slate and with voting on a 
By-Laws amendment.  A program will be presented (Collected Wisdom and 
Lessons Learned for the Little Pistol) which is pertinent to the 
Contesting Season of which we are now approaching the mid-point.  This 
program was originally contributed by Dan Zeitlin, K2YWE.  Whether you 
are in a contest (CW and/or SSB) with a serious effort or only to snag a 
few DX QSO's this program will help you to maximize what you have to 
improve your performance -- especially if you don't have a huge tower 
with stacked antennae.  A discussion will be informed by the presence of 
several of our local contesters and DXers who have really put the 
certificates on the wall!

Whether you are a QCWA member or not come out and experience our 
wonderful QCWA hospitality.  If you have a friend, then be a friend and 
bring him/her along with you to the meeting.  As always, spouses are 
most especially welcome at QCWA functions.
