Thanks Bob for those figures. Overall, though, has QCWA declined in
numbers? In other words, was our membership, at one time, much higher than
the circa 7K that we have right now?

Dave.

Subject: [QCWA] QCWA Membeship Numbers

In the past 12 months (July 2007 - June 2008) QCWA has added 420 new
members.

  33 were signed at Dayton
182 just signed up with no sponsor, Smart Folks!
205 were signed by 127 members
of these
102 sponsored a single new member
        13 sponsored two new members
          5 sponsored three new members
          4 sponsored four new members
1 sponsored eight new members Sheriff Val, W5PUT, are
you a Deputy?
1 sponsored ten new members Ron, W7VU
AND 1 sponsored eighteen new members John, W3BE

A SPECIAL THANKS to these members and to everyone that "Flys the Flag" for
QCWA, they are showing all of us what we need to do.

I know Val and John invest time and money attending hamfests to recruit
members, I'm sure Ron does as well, it shows.

There are also about 185 Silent Keys listed in the past four Journals.

The other factor is members that just plain quit. The new board will be
addressing this issue.

If you need suggestions for how to recruit new members check out Gene
Nailon's, K5DLE (SK), comments in "Confessions of a Recruit-aholic" at
http://www.qcwa.org/recruiting.htm on our website.

Data gathered from the QCWA Journal and the website new-member files.

73,
Bob, NØUF
