Howdy QCWA Members!

I know that many of you enjoy the WorldRadio columns of some of our elite QCWA Members such as John Johnston, W3BE, Bill Pasternak, WA6ITF, and Alan Pickering, KJ9N, just to name a few.

Thus, I direct your attention to the current issue of WorldRadio, January, 2009......Page 4:

Armond Noble, N6WR, long time publisher of WorldRadio has elected to retire. As a part of his retirement, he has passed the WorldRadio-baton to Dick Ross, K2MGA, of CQ. Magazine. Dick, also a very capable publisher, will carry on the tradition of publishing WorldRadio in a slightly different manner/format. Very shortly, WorldRadio will be free and only available on the CQ Website: www.cq-amateur-radio.com

So, what does this mean to our subscribing QCWA Members? It will mean that our non-computer-savvy Members will no longer be able to receive a hard copy of WorldRadio. But, your local library can afford you with both the use of a free computer and some minimal computer instruction with which to view WordRadio. As that old saying goes: "Where there is a will, there is a way!"

So, what about your current subscription to WorldRadio? The full details are on Page 9 of that same above mentioned issue of WorldRadio. Basically, you will receive one issue of a a CQ Communications publication, of which there are several,  for each issue of WorldRadio that you would have received. If you are a Life Subscriber to WorldRadio, the full details for a smooth transition can be found on page 9 as well.

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year de

Val L. Erwin, W5PUT
QCWA Natl' Director
