I HOPE YOU ALL WILL NOT TAKE OFFENSE AT AN 89 YEAR OL.  here's the easy way to reply to the sender. 

Highlight the e-mail address of the sender.
Next 
Hold down ctrl and the letter c at the same time. This will copy the address. 
  Delete the complete e-mail or put it into your hold file for reference' 
Go to compose e-mail. Address the e-mial by ctrl and the letter v

This puts your copy of the address in the to slot, write in the subject and you are all set to answer directly to whoever.
