One week to PARTY TIME !
In case you have forgotten here are the rules.
The exchange is "YOUR CALL", YOUR YEAR LICENSED", "YOUR NAME",
"YOUR CHAPTER OR STATE"
If I were working you I would send "ve3bno, 46, george, 70,"
and this year I will add my qcwa number 8811 for those who are working on
their 60-60 certificate..This will
probably cause some confusion so i think I will just say" if you need it
my QCWA nr is 8811" off the end of my
exchange.
All the info, log forms , summary and spring results ore on the QCWA
website at
www.qcwa.org/qso-party.htm
We need lots of amateurs out there calling CQ QCWA to make an impression on
our non-member
friends. And we need you to send in a log even if you only make a few
contacts, as this is how we
gauge the success of this activity. Also we have a friendly competition
going as to which chapter
can get the most number of their members on the air on this occasion.
Now I have one week to re-assemble my operating position. I bought my wife
Frances (VE3HKG)
a new rig (well almost new - Kenwood TS-570S) and have to fit it in along
with my venerable
TS-450S. ) They look great side by side, but I think I will have to swipe
one of the xtal filters
out of my TS-450 if I want to use the TS-570 on CW.. It sure pumps on
strong signals on
near by frequencies.
I look forward to working many of you nest weekend.
Cheers

apply to Non QCWA members
as well as to QCWA members who are not affiliated with a local chapter. Do

Alabama. For Band info, simply

Points Column on the Log).
A Multiplier of one point is given for each QCWA Chapter worked and for
each State, Province or Country
reported from stations not belonging to a QCWA Chapter. A total of only one
multiplier point will be given for
each State, Province or Country. A Multiplier of 3 points will be given
on each of the 15 Bands for working our
Special Events Station W2MM. It is hoped to have this station active
throughout the two parties. Stations
within 50 miles (80 Kms) of W2MM, may work W2MM only once for a total
multiplier of 3 points. Sample logs
and a summary sheet may be requested from QCWA Headquarters with an
