Subject: Holiday Concerts
Dick,
On the net this morning, I mentioned the holiday concerts that are
performed by the various military service bands. These concerts are
held at DAR Hall (Constitution Hall) and are free, but you do need a
ticket.
I have attended probably two dozen of these concerts over the years
and have yet to be disappointed. These are great concerts for the
entire family.
I put together the current information, with links, for each of the
services if anyone is interested in attending. I'd be happy to answer
any questions that folks might have.

AIR FORCE CONCERT -- 1 & 2 December
2007 Holiday Concerts: An American Holiday
Though many traditions help make the season bright, nothing makes the
holidays complete like an Air Force Band holiday concert!
To help you catch the spirit of the season, The United States Air
Force Concert Band and The Singing Sergeants, under the direction of
Col. Dennis M. Layendecker, will present An American Holiday at DAR
Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, November 30th-December 2nd,
2007. The concerts will provide a traditional look at 400 years of
American holiday traditions, including a tribute to Air Force members
stationed overseas with a moving finale of "I'll Be Home for Christmas."
The Holiday Concert Series is a free, ticketed event.
Ticket distribution for these concerts will be held at the DAR Box
Office on Sunday, November 4; Wednesday, November 7; and Tuesday,
November 13, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The DAR Box Office
is located on C Street between 17th and 18th Streets NW in
Washington, DC. Limit is 6 tickets per request.

"HAPPY HOLIDAYS" CONCERTS
The United States Navy Band presents "Happy Holidays" twice each year
