[QCWA] 2006 qso party

These presentations were made at the Chapter 70 September 18 Dinner Meeting.

Director Doug Leach, VE3XK presented the following QCWA QSO Party 
Certificate of Achievement awards from the 2006 Spring QSO Party.

    a)    Highest Canadian CW/Digital Score:                Rod Newkirk, 
VA3ZBB
    b)    Highest Canadian Phone Category:                  Frances 
Mackenzie-Roach, VE3HKG
    c)    Highest Canadian Mixed CW/Phone Category: George Roach, 
VE3BNO

Doug noted that this was the first time that three (3) of a chapter's 
members have won 'Highest Scores' in separate categories in a single QSO 
party. This is a first for QCWA.

I received an e-mail on this and had to share it.  Many of you know George 
as one of the net control operators on the Sunday QCWA net.

Congratulations Chapter 70 and to Frances and George Roach, two first place 
awards in the same family!

Chapters 73 and 151, looks like a challenge to me.
