[QCWA] Journal errors continue

Hi John,
I've read Croft's and Chuck's responses and can tell you that the reporting
of Silent Keys is a problem common in all national and international groups,
ham radio related or not. It ranks right behind keeping up with vanity
calls and email ids.
I've talked with Hams at OOTC, 10-10 and ARRL and there really isn't
anything to be done other than what we all are doing, accept reports from
where ever they originate. I suspect it's the same at AmSat, FISTS, RAC,
RSGB and many others.
As the past Publicity Committee Chairman and a past proofreader I assure you
the only goal is to provide a quality publication that is interesting to
read, well laid out and as accurate as we can make it. The only way to
avoid errors in reporting our Silent Keys is to not report them. The OOTC
(Old Old Timers Club) has a page on their web site titled: LIVE MEMBERS,
NOT REPORTED DEAD.
No one needs to forward your comments to the Officers and Board, they are
all on this reflector.
In the future when the Publicity Committee is looking for a proofreader, can
they count on your help?
