Hi Tim,
First, dues are increasing on April 1st. I'll be putting applications with
the new rates on-line late Saturday.
The easiest way to check it out is to join is to go to
http://www.qcwa.org/how-to-join.htm open, print and complete
the US application. Our GM doesn't have time to look up a call with out the
accompanying application. Chuck will
start with the year you list and work back in time until your call is no
longer listed. Or will go forward until your call
is found.
Then either, mail it to HQ with your check or fax it to HQ, then call with
your credit card information.
The eligibility requirements are: If you hold a current amateur radio
license, and you were licensed. as a ham, at least 25
years ago, you are eligible to join QCWA. It is not necessary for you to
have been continuously licensed for twenty-five
years. You can join QCWA on January 1st of the year your eligible.
Check 'New Application' and include your Name, Call, Address, City,
State/Provence/Country, Postal Code, E-mail
and Telephone number. For the USA, please use the 9 Digit Zip.
Submit Proof of the year when you were first licensed. Send a copy of your
first license, a qsl card or a copy of a log book
entry. Be sure to enter your first call sign and first year licensed, this
is critical if you don't have other proof of licensing.
QCWA has past Callbooks, we can verify the year you were first listed. This
method trails your actual licensed date
but in most cases is close enough.
If you don't qualify, we'll return your application and check and let you
know when to re-apply.
Welcome to QCWA!

Subject: [QCWA] Who's the keeper of the callbooks?
I believe I should be getting close to the 25 year mark, in fact I think
past it (1981). I would be interested to know so that I can join the
organization.
Any help would be appreciated.
