Interesting!!!   If you can find it rent  Mary Drew Detective.    In  
this 1940s film the boy 2nd lead is a ham and is shown  operating  a  
then state of the art rig. Procedure not too bad.  Later in the film  
he uses Spark and CW  to  get help.   Not heavy but fun.  73
