===========================
This site was built on a Macintosh using Sandvox version 1.1 from
Karelia Software
http://www.karelia.com/
One reason this site looks better than our previous one is that
Sandvox contains a library of well-designed site templates to choose
from, and all take advantaqe of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). For
more on CSS, see below.
Please let me know how you like the new site and if you have any
suggestions on how to improve upon it. Try using the "feedback
window" on the right-hand-side of the top-level pages.

Some comments on Web browsers:
===========================
1. Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) on Windows
An annoyance when using the feedback window:
---------------------(--------------------------------------------
I've been told that MSIE for Windows, unlike Mozilla's Firefox
browser for Windows, does not make the info needed by the message
server available in order to permit it to tell your browser to return
to the previous page once your feedback message has been received.
Consequently, If you are using MSIE, just click on the browser's back
button to get back to where you were.
On other problems with MSIE and how to avoid them:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've also been told that current versions of MSIE do a poor job of
interpreting Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). That's too bad because
most modern websites, including this one, are built using the CSS
instruction set specified by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). You
can learn more about the CSS and Microsoft's failure so far to
conform its browsers here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascading_Style_Sheets
One quote from this wiki page: "Although the exact levels of
conformance are not easy to judge, it is generally accepted that
Internet Explorer has the worst CSS implementation of all modern
browsers…"
To learn more about the CSS bugs in MSIE versions 5 and higher, go here:

If you'd like to download a browser that works very well with sites
built with standard CSS instructions, go here and download the free
Firefox browser, available for both Windows and Mac OS X:
http://www.firefox2007.de/us/
2. To Macintosh users:
------------------------------
Mozilla's Firefox and Camino browsers, as well as Apple's Safari
browser, render Chapter 91's website beautifully. Internet Explorer
for the Mac is no longer supported by Microsoft. The last version
released was 5.2, and my copy renders Chapter 91's website terribly.
