[QCWA] Edison Chapter #196 meets Monday, January 8th, at Steak & Ale, Fort Myers, Florida

Greetings!! And a very Happy New Year to all!! Please excuse the 
tardiness of this notice, but I have a legitimate excuse.

Edison Chapter #196 will meet Monday, January 8th, at 11:30 a.m. at 
Steak and Ale, on Cleveland Avenue, in Fort Myers. We look forward to 
our winter visitors returning and hope some of them are able to join us. 
Gene-W8SZU was presented his 50 year certificate by Tad-K3QC last month, 
in order to get a picture in the Journal. Hugh-W4SEM will be receiving 
his 75 year certificate early this year. Tad-K3QCregrets he will be 
unable to attend, due to his brother's daily treatment schedule. Your 
secretary came home from NJ and was immediately felled by a vicious 
virus, so I hope to be up and about by Monday. Wouldn't want to 
contaminate anyone if I'm still not feeling well.

Edison Chapter, #196 will have a table at the Fort Myers Hamfest on 
January 20th and would welcome any of you who'd like to hang out there 
with us for a while.

Do try to attend our luncheon on Monday and invite a guest. If you know 
of anyone who is eligible to join QCWA, please invite them to come along 
and look us over. We'll do our best to make them feel welcome.

Also, we cordially invite any QCWA members traveling through the area to 
join us. Visitors are always welcome! For directions, call 239-560-8495. 
It's really easy to find... just South of Page Field on Route 41, which 
is Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers.
