"Carl Gray, W4ACM, 97 years young, was presented with a handsome
plaque from QCWA recognizing the 80 years (plus one) that have passed
by since he was first licensed as 9EUH in 1926..."
"Our featured speaker was John V. Evans, N3HBX, who described his
project to design and build a world-class DX contesting station and
antenna farm..."

14 Nov 07: Len Hook, KG6ZR, now Silent Key

"We lost a good friend and companion in Len Hook, 59. Len served as
our President during 2007 and as our Vice President and programs
chairman for the two years..." Photos of Len include two supplied by
Len's older brother, Richard, who writes: "The one of Len rowing would
have been taken in San Diego Bay in the late 80's or early 90's. The
early station would have been taken in Birmingham, MI, before he
graduated from high school which was in 1967."
