When I visited the family today, it was unclear if Norm was a QCWA member.
He was an avid QRP CW operator and friend for about 30 years. The following
is part of an email received last week and a link to the obituary that
appeared in Newsday today, December 26, 2007.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to

Dear friends,
We're all so sorry to pass on this sad news about Norm. He was
in his car,on Thursday afternoon on the way home from work, talking on the
repeater, when he apparently had a heart attack. We don't know any further
details at this time.
The service for Norm Wesler K2YEW will be Sunday, December 23 at 2 PM
at Gutterman's Funeral home in Rockville Centre. The service will be
followed by burial.
