[QCWA] Gutter clip brings back memories!

When I was about 17, (in 1957), I had a 1957 chevy with a 75M rig built from
a command set and a Morrow converter, in it. (2 dynamoters under the hood
with the outputs connected in series, also my first 12 volt vehicle.) Had
the usual bug catcher style antenna with a gutter clip on the rain gutter.
The ball had come off the whip, and I bent a hook in the end so it would
stay in the gutter clip. Tried to face it to the rear to keep from snagging
things.

One day my mother used the car, the hook in the whip was facing forward, and
she entered the Joske's parking lot in downtown San Antonio, TX. Before they
could get her stopped, she had pulled down most of the overhead strings of
lights in the parking lot. They used two wires with sockets every 10-15 feet
at about 10 or 12 feet off the ground for night lighting. Brings back fond
memories of simpler days, before the underground parking garages, and large
mall parking lots.
