Well, well, well, very interesting Norman,
I assume you know Gene and agree with him. For those that don't know Gene,
anyone that doesn't agree 100% with everything he says is a moron (or worse)
and not worth Gene's time or his vote. That's Gene's opinion, he's entitled
to have it and to express it. As you probably guessed Gene and I don't
always agree. By the way, It's your right to disagree with Gene and to vote
for as many or as few of the candidates as you want to. If you vote for me
or not, Please Vote. It's your right, it's your responsibility. Vote!
Now Norman, why don't you tell us Your reasons for not voting for Larry,
Howard, Bill, Ed and myself. If your going to encourage others to vote as
you do at least have the strength of conviction to express your own
opinion(s) and back those with facts!
My reasons for running include: I'm qualified to be president of the QCWA,
if you read my bio in the last journal you know that. If you send me a
suggestion, I'll let you know I received it and I will not take credit for
your effort. Your suggestion will be studied by a Standing Committee,
presented to the Board of Directors and incorporated if it's logical for
that action to be taken by QCWA at that time. I'll let you know if your
suggestion isn't incorporated and why the majority of the Board felt that
way. When I decided to run for Vice President in 2003 one of the decisions
I had to make was, "Did I want to make a 10 year commitment?" Yes, 10
years, possibly two terms as Vice President, two as President and one as
the Past President. I made that commitment to QCWA, I made that commitment
to You! Beyond that, I don't like the way John conducts the business of
QCWA. I don't like John's lack of response to questions he doesn't want to
answer. I don't like John's lack of commitment. When he decided not to
seek a second term last May then changed his mind, I wondered about his
motives. When I asked him about it he said, "The clincher, however, was
when my XYL remarked about how very much we enjoyed the company of many,
many wonderful friends." If this is the kind of president you want for
QCWA then by all means vote for him. If you want a president that knows how
to conduct QCWA's business and will respond in a timely manor, vote for me.
Either way, make a decision and Vote.
By the way Gene, how about keeping the open mind you suggested the board
have. You don't like me because I disagree with you, do you really want a
board that will agree with everything you propose, or do you want a board
that thinks for itself? That has the best interests of QCWA at heart.
Norman, thanks in advance for your comments, I look forward to reading them.
73,
Bob Roske, N0UF
QCWA Presidential Candidate
