You are correct Ed I was 1W8144 in Maine and the they made me KKA9144 in
the 60's but was on 440MHZ with a Vocaline and we had 40 of those in our
CD unit
And then went to Gooney Boxes in61...

Oh, certainly not.....  the 1W call was the first type issued, well
before any CB call starting with K

Going back to 1959  :o)
