QCWA Chapter 91 Meeting Announcement

January 13th, 2007
11:30 AM
Neighbors Restaurant
Vienna, VA.

Featured Speaker: John Johnston,W3BE, National President QCWA, will
bring us a “State of the QCWA” as we enter into the 60th Anniversary
of the association. John promises to bring us up to date on
happenings inside the QCWA headquarters and the upcoming national
convention in Denver this October.

John is well known in our amateur community and made his last formal
presentation to us two years ago and time does march on. Come and
hear what has been developing in your association during that time.

The January meeting is also our Annual Meeting as required by QCWA,
Inc. and our chapter's by-laws. This is an opportunity for the new
officers to tell you about their plans for the coming year, and for
you to provide feedback to help shape those plans.

Our 33-33-33 Raffle will be held by Frank Haynes, W4NUA. The kitty
now contains several hundred dollars, and one-third of the proceeds
go to the support of the Vic Clark Chapter. Come prepared to buy a
ticket and to take away some cash.

Bring in your auction items for donation. Ray Johnson, K5RJ, Chapter
91 Past President, will auction them for the benefit and
entertainment of us all. Remember, All reasonable bids accepted and
everything will go home --- with someone!

Join us for lunch, a chance to have an eyeball QSO with new and
veteran members, learn something from the others at the meeting and
contribute to the lively discussions which always develop!

I really look forward to seeing you there.

73,

Tim Donovan, WA4CLK
Chapter 91 VP & Program Coordinator (elect)

PS: On February 10th 2007, Chapter 91 will head north to Linthicum,
MD to visit the Historical Electronics Museum (History of the
Nation’s Defense Electronics). After our visit, we will have lunch at
G&M Restaurant where you may select Maryland’s most famous crab cake
platter – voted #1 by The Washington Post. More information will
follow, but put this one on your calendar now. It’s going to be a
great visit and lunch.
