Herb Irving was W3FK, W8FC pre-war. His son Dick, K3FK and I served
together at the U.S. Embassy in Helsinki, Finland in the mid-1990's.
I took the liberty of forwarding this post to him in Tokyo, where he
serves in a civilian capacity with the military.
The Irving family lived in Saxonburg and Dick was fond of telling me
that they had no street numbers in the town. The Irving address was
"Water Street, Saxonburg, PA". Dick was born in the front bedroom of
the old house where he grew up.
