Hi Tom,

We are protecting the privacy and computers of the subscribers to
the QCWA reflector. In other words, we are protecting YOU.

For your protection we do not allow:
1 posting from non subscribed members.
if you subscribed with yourcall at arrl.net and try to post
with yourcall at aol.com your message will bounce.
          this also helps reduce Spam
 2 messages with attachments
attachments can spread a virus, even a bmp, gif or jpg
 3 multiple recipients
odds are some of the recipients will not be subscribed
and will try to post to our reflector
4 non text files (rtf, html, etc..)
these can also spread a virus

Most of these are set by qth.net, our reflector host, some by
recommendations of other reflector administrators. Because
most of our members are not that computer literate, we have
a pretty tight reflector, it's safer that way.

Rejected messages generate an e-mail to me, I check them
out and can allow or reject the e-mail. I seldom reject if the
subject is at all relevant and if I reject a message I respond
to the sender with my logic for the rejection and how to get
their message posted. I haven't seen any rejects for you
today Tom so I don't know what type of problem you may
be having.

Fell free to ask any questions or make any suggestions,
it is after all, Your Reflector!

73,
Bob Roske, N0UF
Reflector Administrator

As a QCWA life member, I would like to complain about the difficulty of
responding to messages received on the reflector. Twice I tried to
congratulate these deserving members by hitting "Reply."

What are you protecting? What's the worst thing that can happen?

Tom Webb, W4YOK
