I was WN8AGD in '76 and eventually became WD8AGD. I suspect that CA was
ahead of the 8th district in issuing calls, so I'd bet that WN6OCT became
WD6OCT.

One would assume that WN6OCT would evenually become WA6OCT. I looked up
WA6OCT
in my 1995 QRZ CD and found him to be:
Emil Brakensiek, then living in Apple Valley CA. The 2000 ver of QRZ shows
Emil
living then at 107 Robert Frost Drive
Centralia, WA 98531.
Checking further in today's FCC search list find him at the same address.
The
earlier listings in QRZ show his DOB as 2-21-15, with last update of his
license
in 1994. There is no clue to his activities since 1994, unless at his age of
90,
QST might have him listed with the SK's. Let's hope not.
