I think the League did all it could with its limited financial resources.  
Keeping in mind that we as a hobby service were up against a mega-buck lobby, we 
could have fared a lot worse.  I do not blame the ARRL.  

Rather, what we have is an FCC that has run amock.  It fancies itself as the 
savior of corporate America and, if you read its charter, it is in direct 
violation of what it was created to do.  

I do not think it matters whose in the White House.  This is a mindset issue 
that can only be solved by fireing every lawyer and accountant in the FCC and 
replacing them with competant engineers.  And the lawyers and accountants will 
never permit that. So???????
