The old "If I remember correctly...."
Novice licences were only good for one year, and they were WN1xxx
Hah, also "IIRC" they assigned the calls sequentially without regard to
class.... so it's around my call which was '62. This has proven to be
incorrect.
Memory not so good, and I was certain novice licenses were not in the
callbook until I found them....
That is, the first one listed, which implies it's the oldest, and must
have been issued after the Fall of '64, is WN1CJB and they go through
WN1EYI which must have been issued in the Summer of '65.
This is from the Fall '65 Callbook. I'm not sure how much in advance of
the publishing date is the cutoff for input. These calls might be good
from Summer of '64 to the Summer of '65 for publication in the Fall
issue.
This is only a few pages. I'll check further shortly.
