We are not alone guys......the following from the October 2004 issue of the Marine Corps Gazette:

"Another form of encroachment is loss of RF spectrum.  Since 1992 DoD (Dept of Defense) has lost approximately 27 percent of the total RF spectrum allocated for aircraft telementry to accomodate commercial devices.
Increased commercial demand for RF bandwidth could comprimise the effectiveness of the global positioning system, precision guided munitions and other national defense communications and training systems."
