I'd suggest checking with the ARRL to locate the local radio
club in that area.  They might have old membership records,
or at least a member who was around then and knew the SK.

If there's no local radio club, you might get a map and a
repeater directory to see if there's a non-affiliated club
around there, or contact a trustee of an area repeater to
see if you can locate some old timers who've lived there for
30 years or more.
