July 17, 2004: Howard Cunningham, WD5DBC, speaks on Emergency Operations;
Annual Awards Presented

Twenty-two members and a number of guests attended our Annual Awards
Luncheon at Neighbor's Restaurant. Our president, John Reiser, WQ4L,
presented the following awards...

John, WQ4L,,, showed off the two go-kits he keeps fresh and near the door in
case he is called to provide emergency communications somewhere...

Chapter member Howard Cunningham, WD5DBC, who is also the Emergency
Coordinator for the Amateur Radio Emergency Service for Fairfax County, VA,
talked about events and lessons learned during (1) Hurricane Isabel that
occurred a year ago in September and (2) the Simulated Emergency Test (SET)
centered on Dulles International Airport (IAD) that was held this past
May...

Five early photo albums were moved to off-line CD storage to regain needed
space for the new additions to our website.  Also, a number of the photos in
older photo albums were more highly compressed to save on hard drive space.

In the process, the "rogues gallery" consisting of these albums
  Photos of members, last names starting A-H
  Photos of members, last names starting I-R
  Photos of members, last names starting S-Z
were re-organized and updated, as well as compressed.

All the photo albums now have names that are prefixed by month & year and
are ordered chronologically to make it easier to find the album you're
looking for.
