Hi Walt,
Please tell your wife not to worry. Your comment made remember a time years
ago when I was doing service work for a company that had a big X in it's
name. I was doing a preventive mainteance check on one of three mainframe
printers at one of my customers. It was in the Winter and I ever so often
looked at my watch. I will call him Garey (actually his real name) came over
to me and asked what was the matter. I asked him what do you mean. He said
you are looking at your watch like you have a hot date. Well I had known
Garey for a number of years and we had gone through some pretty stressful
machine downtimes together. I looked up at him and told him I have a drug
deal going down in your parking lot at 10:30. (in this case AM) He went
white as a ghost and walked away. At that point I knew I had him hooked. At
exactly 10:30 I put my top coat on and went outside. About 10 minutes later
I came back in took my coat off and went back to my P M work. Garey kept
looking over at me and a number of times started walking over to me and
would then turn around and go back to his desk. Finally after about an hour
he came over and said "Larry we have know each other for a number of years
and we have gone through some really tough times keeping this equipment
going" I agreed with him. He then asked when did you get involved with that
stuff??  With a puzzled look on my face I asked him WHAT stuff. He quietly
said DRUGS...  I shook my head and said Garey you don't understand. A friend
of mine "drug" some radio stuff out of his Morton building to bring to me
and I "drug"  a couple of radio things out of my basement to give him. I
cannot put in print what he called me (and rightfully so)  A few weeks later
a person from the Chicago area (I am located in the Peoria Il area) was in
town and my buddy and I were talking about our next "drug" deal on 2m. The
poor guy goes "you know you'r pretty open about this down here"   Well we
explained to him what the deal was. I don't think he has ever been back.
I guess the moral is if you can't have fun don't mess with it.
