I was 1st licensed as a Novice with the call sign WV2MBR in April of 1960.  
After upgrade, my call would have been WA2MBR (I moved & got KN9DUR before 
upgrading).  The 2nd & 6th call zones were the 1st to go to the WA prefix, with 
novices being issued WV's.  A lot of confusion was caused by the WV prefix, so, 
the next call zone to start using the WA prefix went back to WN's for novices. 
 This was the 4th call zone.  When I moved to Indiana in early 1961, I was 
issued one of the last K's or W's issued routinely in the 9th call zone, which 
went to the WA prefix in May or June of 1961.

Therefore, the call sign WA4DTH would have been issued around 1959 or 1960.
