[Qcwa] W1KGJ ON TV WW2 PUBLIC TV WW2 History In Color

I was looking at some tapes I recorded some time back on the
Public TV series "WW2 Filmed In Color".   I spotted one scene
in there that showed an RO in Uniform at a big Radio console.
He was talking into the MIKE and up in the left corner was a
Call sign plaque with "W1KGJ" on it.   I went to qrz.com to
try and look up the call sine but there was no listing for it.
So assume he is no longer with us.  It didnt seem to be a
military stn shown in the series but some kind of a Military
setup as the guy was in Uniform,  but the plaque was unmistakeable
up at the top left.   Did anyone knotice that or does anyone have
a call book back around 1940 that might tell us who W1KGJ was??
