Fellow QCWA Members:

It is with deep sadness I report the silence of QCWA Life Member Al
Simpson, VA6AS at 1:00am June 22, 2003. Al was a current member of Wild
Rose Chapter 151 and the Calgary Amateur Radio Association (CARA).

Al just recently joined QCWA on April 7, 2003 and was to be awarded his
Anniversary Awards of 50 and 55 years as a licensed radio amateur at the
upcoming Annual General Meeting on September 20, 2003. In lieu of and in
his honour, Al's Anniversary Awards will be on display during the memorial
service.
