Our web site was updated this evening. Point your browser to:

The following new items were added:
To the main page: =20
-----------------
July 19, 2003: Chapter holds its Annual Awards Banquet:
=20
"This year's event was an evening affair at which 37 members and guests
enjoyed each others' company and the generous helpings of good food served
on large platters by the staff at Neighbor's Restaurant. After introducing
the members of the chapter's Executive Committee for 2003, President John
Johnston, W3BE, led us down a trail of memories by citing some of the
innovations and highlights in amateur radio that occurred during the years
when our members were first licensed..."
Members licensed between 25 and 49 years ago were recognized, then members
who in 2003 qualified for various awards from QCWA were recognized, and the=
n
members who best exemplify the purposes of the Amateur Radio Service cited
in Section (=A7) 97.1, Chapter 1 (FCC), Title 47 (Telecommunications), of the
Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), were recognized. Certificates and photos
were taken at the end of the program.
To the Photo Albums section:
----------------------------
Photos from our Annual Awards Banquet. You can go there directly by
clicking on this URL:
http://homepage.mac.com/rrucker/PhotoAlbum33.html
Once there, click on any photo thumbnail to see an enlarged version within
an interactive slide-show window. Another way to do the same thing is to
click on the "Start Slideshow" button in the upper right hand corner.
Once in the slideshow, click the right arrow in the lower right-hand corner
to move to the next enlarged photo in the sequence, or click the left arrow
to move to the previous one.
Your browser should permit you to save any of these photos to your hard dis=
k
for later printing. In the browsers I use, it is as simple as dragging the
desired photo to my computer's desktop. From there, I can open the photo's
JPEG file in any one of several applications (Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft
Word are two examples).
To the Folder of Downloadable Files:
------------------------------------
The file "renew_your_FCC_license.rtf" has been added to the folder "W3BE's
The Rules Say..." This article is an update of one that was published
earlier. It describes several ways you can renew your license and comments
on the advantages and disadvantages of each.
