New file "Nov_02_Hobby" has been added to a new folder named "W3BE's The

February 2003: FCC grants Chapter 91's request for vanity call K4RE
(In memoriam for chapter member Frank Kratokvil, K4RE, who became a
Silent Key on March 15, 2002.)
Included the K4RE article is Frank Kratokvil's reminiscence of the Old Goats
Net (OGN) that he wrote in May 1966. It begins "In January, 1966, four
retired or retiring FCC officials founded The Old Goats Net, operating daily
on 7210 kHz at 8 a.m. The four founders were..."
Also included are photos of several of Frank's stations including one that
has a horned mountain goat's head, a gift from VE3BYH, mounted on the wall.
Frank wrote that this head was the "OGN's talisman."
Report any errors or omissions to me, thanks.
