Some other old memories:

Tokens for the NYC subway that were only a dime.
Cigarett Machines, and the cigaretts were only $0.25/pack
Dr.'s in cigrette commercials saying smoking was good for you
The "Firebirds" (marionettes type cartoon)
The Alka-Seltzer kid (what was his name?)
Taking apart my sisters roller-skates and making scooter with an old piece
of wood, and an orange crate.
(I got in trouble for that one)
Those plastic screens that went over a black and white TV to make it look
like it was in color.
Barber shops with "Girlie" magazines (also Garages with "Girlie" calendars)
Getting a haircut instead of being "Styled"
Dad buying Schlitz beer
The first TTL chips (I was born before the transistor was invented, but mom
never got me any to play with in my crib).
