One of the things that I have noticed over the years, it is very easy to
misunderstand what people are saying when you read it. I know that I am
not much of an author and probably do not say anything near what I would
say to people in person when I have to write out my message.
I have been the subject of written/verbal "barbs" many times and may be
developing a "thicker skin" from that, but I try not to take offence from
someone's opinion. After all everyone has an opinion and I probably don't
agree with lots of them, but certainly will defend their right to have an
opinion! I suspect that several people would not agree with MY opinions
either.
I have attempted to slow down my answering some of the comments you see on
the reflectors. That is intended to give me more time to think out my
response (calm down?) and try to see the other person's side of the
comments. I have still managed to get my "foot in my mouth" many
times. We should NEVER engage in personal attacks in a public forum!
Now, hopefully I have not offended too many people, let's get back to calm
peaceful discussion and assistance where possible to current and future
QCWA members.
