Hi Norm,
Nice to see ya after a spell!. Yes I was kinda of that opinion
that he just might have been a WD opr such as us. I sure find
a lot of memories in that show. I've only seen about half lf it
thus far. I may write a short article for the JOURNAL later if
can determine a few facts first. Like my buddy RO on the
"Florida" whose name was Charlie Leighton, but having grouble
remembering his ham call, think it was W4GL? or W4GC? Think he
met his end on Omaha beach but not sure. I will call it something
like GI Travels on the Steam Yacht Florida, or just "Travels
on the Yacht Florida". That occurred with me and Charlie being
the only 2 GI's on the ship. All the rest were Civil Service,
including the Master and First Mate.
