Thanks Harv for that info.  I must have misread when you started out
in 1940 part.    Well Norm and I have both tried to research our
old outfits that used the "War Dept Radio Network" which included
WAR, WVN, WHZ and many other such call sines.   Yes I go back to
the old "Boehme" stuff as does Norm who was in WAR during same
period I was at WUO, and WVN.  In fact Norm may have been on the
WAR end at the same time I was calling for "PB's" from WVN.
