Joe......I was a member of AARS from about 1938 until the shut down...
I remember the drills on 80M in the evening and what great CW operators they
were..
When I went to work at WAR in Dec 41 the old operating position for the AARS
was still there with a big sign on the wall.....they had a W3 call sign
which I dont recall just now.
The AARS was a terrific training mode for the radio amateurs and so many of
them became the very best communicators in the military.
