[Qcwa] Russian Ham family in Need?

Okay, I'm in "need" of an Icom 706 MKIIG.  Please don't send money as my
wife will find it and just spend it on clothes, food, housing,
utilities.... 2 of my children are also hams and this donation would
help them too.

My first inclination was this is a scam.  It probably is but I did
keyword/phrase searches on Snopes.com and nothing matched.  It's
probably just that the mailing list hasn't generated enough interest yet
that they've not had a chance to compare and verify.

Send the info to ARRL....if it's a legitimate human interest need,
they'll flush it out and make the appropriate appeal.

P.S.  In lieu of the 706, I'd also take an IC2800H.  ;-)

Well I hope you didn't send any money... for what it's worth, I never 
respond to any e-mails requesting money. Nor do I ever click on the 
"click here to be removed from our mailing list" (as soon as you do, 
they know you got the e-mail, and will continue sending).
