Yes to all you said. The "RJ" I was told also stemmed from
the old US Morse and Radio Telegraphy, but noone thus far has
been able to figure out exactly what letters in the old MORSE
or combination of letters resulted in the "RJ" carrover.
We checked out "RLF" as possibility meaning "relief opr here"
but could not corelate it in any way to "RJ". I even querried
some "FISTS" people and they know what "RJ" meant to them but
again cant figure out exactly how it became a carryover.
I guess the secret to that must have died with some old
RR telegraphy guy quit a while back.
