It was a super-regenerative receiver and it was originally designed for the
old 5M band but some of the guys moved on to 2-1/2M and 1-1/4M as 5M got
very busy.  The most popular circuit was actually from a science magazine
whose name escapes me now.....something like Popular Radio?
