Yes I remember those days too!.  I got a kwm2 that way which didnt
work rite off so fixed some dirty rx/tx relay contacts and got it
going.   Here in Honolulu it was all in a warehouse at Ft Shafter.
Only stipulation was that it not be given away to non mars members,
or sold.    It was removed from accountability lists.  Later
it got stolen from my shack and ended up at the Honolulu Police
dept.  They called me and asked if they could resell it, that it
had been turned in to them.  I told them no it could not be resold
and must be returned to me or used as a boat anchor.  I never did
find out who the thief was.   Them days of non accountability are
long gone now in MARS.  In fact the paper trail has been so complicated
that few of us current members even utilize any of the DRMO stuff
any longer.
