for a "SOFAR sub-group."  Perhaps this is a fine way of attaining the goa=

of those in favor of an associate member classification, without giving
rise, again, to a bunch of hysteria.

On the other hand, trying to formalize such a group might destroy it.  I
think you might agree that we don't need more bureaucracy.
