Well, I'll give you an example. 219 MHz.

A proposal railroaded through by K6IYK. And of course,
managed by him after you convince him that you're worthy
of the priviledge of operationg there.

The same K6IYK that revamped the bandplans on 220
after the FCC took away 2 MHz for UPS. They kept all
the repeater allocations and pretty well trashed ALL of the
weak signal stuff. The FCC actually had to step in and do
band planning to fix it. Something basically unheard of.

Yeah, to tell you the truth, another ham band would be nice,
but I'd like a chance to hear about it before hand and be asked
my opinion first instead of being told that I'm part of the group
that overwhelming wanted it after the fact.

I'd accuse the ARRL of acting on behalf a small but VERY
vocal minority regarding the requiremenst for morse code,
but then a majority of the people back in newington ARE
part of that very volcal minority.
