Yes indeed I laughed. I never heard such moaning and groaning. Here I am
one of the oldest 100 members of QCWA. I got my ticket in 1935. Changes,
man there were a plenty but we stuck with it and enjoyed the hobby. So, I
didn't get an Extra but settled as an Advanced. Should I say those who
didn't build their own rigs aren't really Hams. Nonsense. There are many
facets to the hobby. None of which makes a better ham. I can't copy 25 so
what. I did 20 in the Signal Corp on the mill, coded groups and get this
I can't touch type to this day. I went to Europe as a Motor Messenger and
never saw a radio again. I think all the upgrading was a bunch of bull
anyway started by a group who almost put Amateur radio out of business
many years ago before most of you were born.
