What sense dose it make to minimize those achievements that are so important
to others:

I worked damn hard to get my GROL w/ Radar and feel it a milestone in my
professional career as an Avionics/Aircraft Technician. I am also an FAA
Licensed A&P/IA (Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic with Inspection
Authorization), I worked damn hard for those tickets as well.
<Doug K7ABX also wrote: "...Bash books" for FAA exams and"cram courses" for
licensing.>
Again, I worked damn hard to get my Commercial Pilot license with
Single/Multi-engine and Instrument Ratings.
<Doug K7ABX wrote: ...Surely, CW and all the other modes have their place,
advantages and disadvantages. Why not come up with a new "bragging rights"
topics instead of code speed here....how about "how many new hams have your
brought into ham radio this year?', or "I am Elmering 20 people right now!">
This is right on, lets try and focus on this type of activity. I mean, is
it a case of - "...my Daddy can Beat up your Daddy..."? I think the Ham
community is better than that.
